First Tracks
FirstTracks is a comprehensive snow sports app that provides first-hand, up to date information about ski resorts.
Problem Statement
Skiers and snowboarders need a comprehensive app to use on the mountain because going down a chewed out run is no fun.
Research
I first interviewed skiers and snowboarders of varying ages and skill levels. I wanted to know if there were any current pain points with apps created for the outdoor community. For many, there was a lack of first-hand information about the ski resorts they were planning on going to. The information they did receive was vague and out of date.
I created a prototype and had users verbally walk through their process while using the app. I then used the feedback to adjust my design to fit the feedback the users gave me.
